Theodore Roosevelt River of Doubt
Theodore Roosevelt and the River of Doubt
One day, after Theodore Roosevelt lost the election, he was invited to Brazil, South America, in terms of exploring an unexplored river, called the River of Doubt. When they got there, the ex-president and his friends, as well as his son Kermit, set off down the river. While in the canoe down the river, they faced many challenges such as piranhas, poisonous snakes, heavy rapids, and Indian attacks. While on their way down the river, a lot of the men were bitten by malaria-carrying mosquitoes, contracting this disease that slowed their trip down majorly. They also had a lot of bad luck with rapids down the river, but Theodore’s son Kermit knew a lot about ropes, so he saved them a lot of the time when they were going down the rapids. After awhile down river, they decided to stop and explore deeper into the jungle around the river, and proclaimed every man for himself. Although most of the men went on their way, Kermit and George Cherrie helped care for the ex-president and his illness. The ex-president also had a cut leg from falling on a rock, so he could barely walk. After they got out of the river of doubt, he went to South America and stayed in a secluded home in ostermier bay in New York fighting off depression and despair from his permanent diseases that made him bed-ridden.

Copyright Laws for music and/or Lyrics
When you write some music, you should always get a copyright on it when you finish it so that way if someone tries to steal your work you will have proof that it is yours. When you make a copyright on your work, all of your stuff is secured under copyright for as long as the longest living survivor plus 70 years. If you have copyrights on your work it means that someone can't steal your work while you are still alive or just after you die. The next current year for public domain music won't be until January 1, 2019. Public domain is someplace where you can find unproved un-copyrighted songs while the proof of the public domain is songs that actually have been proved to expire from their copyright. A few rules for copyright would be don't reproduce music if the copyright hasn't expired, and don't play un-copyrighted music in public even if yoru own the CD.

One famous case of song theft would be when this guy was in the bathroom singing his new song, and his roomate was outside and can hear him, and writes his song down and claims it as his song. Althought the roomate didn't get a copyright, and the songwriter was able to go to the copyright office and get it copyrighted, so the roomate didn't get very far with the song in his hands.

A podcast is when you have a video and a voice recording mixed together in a post that others can see. You can find podcasts virtully anywhere, even on something like Itunes.

Identity Theft
It all started off with this woman named Nancy Trejos. She often used her debit card to purchase things rather than her credit card to stay debt free. But this isn't always the best option to keep your bank account safe. Also, when using a debit card, you can't reimburse all the money that was stolen, while you could if it was with a credit card. Id theft can be such a problem because it puts a lot of hard working people into debt and its really hard to stop. I think Id theft is one of the most hard types of theft to stop because the person could be half way across the country or the world. Some things a criminal would need to steal to figure out your personal information would be credit and debit cards, bank information, social security number, and many other things. When you are using credit and debit cards, just be sure you are somewhere secure where your information can't be stolen easily, and don't give it to anyone suspicious. When an Id is stolen, I think both people are at fault, the id holder because he/she is not being careful, and the stealer because it is wrong to commit a criminal act. So if you are ever out buying something, always take caution with your information!

Qr Codes- In more detail
- Qr codes are similiar to bar codes, except qr codes are in the form of a randomized image rather then randomized numbers .
- Product sellers often use qr codes to list special offers on their products or to give a secret message about something.
- Qr codes started off in Japan and eventually came to be used by U.S bussiness.
- Invented by the company Denso Wave.
- Qr codes help the small bussiness becuase they don't have to put all the print on a product when they can just use these little images that can be decoded for information that was printed into this generated code.
- This could save companies a lot of money by saving all the ink that would be used instead of these randomized images.

The importance and celebration of Jean Hoerni
The importance of Jean Hoerni:
- He was an engineering consultant for Hughes aircraft and Union Carbide Electronics companies.
- He invented the Planar Process, which solved surface instabilities of semi-conductor devices.
- His Planar Transistor provided the reliability required for use in large systems.
- His first large scale application was in military systems, and its reliability tested in Minuteman tests.
- His Planar Transistor was an important part of practical integrated curcuits.
- With this development came more reliable computers and devices.
- The insulator also made MOS devices practical.
